Sunday Afternoon at the Movies

Welcome to Poppy's Matinee Performance of:

There's Something In My Kong That I Want

As you can see, I am still on bed rest. I am getting antsy! I want to try to walk around, but I'm not allowed! I get my staples out on Tuesday. I also have a rehab consultation. I got a lifejacket just in case they want me to SWIM or something. It's pink with polka dots. I'm not usually into pink, but it was the only one they had in my size (XS).

Mommy misses how I used to dig the covers into position before bed each night. I have a hard time doing it right now because my legs are still all funny. I am trying very hard to get better though. I can hold on to my pee now. When I have to go I try to get up, and then they know it's potty time. They take me to my box and put me in and I go all by myself. No more bladder squeezing. Yay! But they still have to hold my bottom up, because I can't stand up on my own quite yet. Daddy thinks I will someday. Mommy has good days and bad days. We're going to try to make today a good one!

Bye for now!

Take care...

Hi Poppy,

I am glad to see that you are having fun with your Kong.

Dun worry, I am sure you will not only able to stand but you will be able to run too. Swimming wil help you loads. I am doing that every week too.

Luv,
Snowball

Hey Poppy!

Great work with the kong! Sorry to hear you're still on bed rest, but it's great that you're getting the relaxation you need to make a full recovery. Keep your little blonde chin up - and tell your parents to do the same!

Poppy, I think holding your pee is a good sign that you are regaining some muscle control! I'll bet you will look cute in polka-dots.

ps: I liked hearing your crunch-crunch-crunching!

Did you get Peanut butter in your Kong? That is what I like. But I like to hear about your recovery more. It is so exciting that you can hold your pee now. Baby steps, right? Or little Chihuahua steps? We are both really proud of you and your bravery.

What is wrong with polka dots? I think you will look daaarling!

You are making great progress, Poppy. Just keep taking one day at a time. You'll get there!

Hi Poppy! I am also a blonde chihuahua and had two discs operated on at the end of June. I know what you are going through, and just want you to know that it does get much better. You'll be back up and walking (without the wobbles) in no time. Swimming isn't too bad, you get used to it, though it is a workout. I'll check up on you to see how you are doing. Oh, and don't worry about the shaved back, my hair is all back and you can't even see the scar! Hang in there!

Poppy, we just read BooBoo's comment. We hope you will be up and around in no time as well. That pink polka dot swim suit sounds like just the thing for rehab. It is so much fun to see you in the video.
