Bark in the Park

Hi everybody! This weekend I went to a dog festival called Bark in the Park. It was the third time I have been there. The other times I went were before my injury, so I was able to try out the agility course for fun. I'm not allowed to do that anymore though because I might hurt my back again. So Mommy decided that we should enter the costume contest this year. We used my Howloween costume from last year--the Sooper Pooper outfit.

Here I am walking across the big stage. Mommy had to lift me up and down the stairs because they didn't have a ramp. Hey, don't they know about the ADA (American Dog-ablility Act)?!

After the contest, we walked around the park and looked at all the vendors selling stuff. But since I already own all the Stuff there is to own, we only bought one thing for Mommy and Daddy. It is a really cool little poster designed to look like an old fashioned ad. We got the "Head Honcho" Chihuahua brand coffee ad. While we walked around, I got to ride in my pouch because it was so crowded. I could have gotten stepped on! Mommy is so aware of little dogs that she kept looking down at her feet before she took a step. But not everybody does that, so I got to ride!

I hope everyone had a great weekend too!

Pee Ess: Are you wondering if I won the contest. Well, I did not. I was sad about this. But then today I found out that I got an award from my friend Pedro! He was so sweet to think of me! Here is my special award from him:
It is only fair to pass along an award that you get to another friend, so that is what I will do. This is actually my least favorite part--not because I don't want to pass the award along, but because it's so hard to choose! How about if YOU choose? If I love your blog (and you know I do), consider yourself awarded!!!

Poppy,

I thought your costume was GREAT! My mom got me a ridiculas costume for Halloween this year, I am embarassed to say. She won't let me discuss it because she wants to save it for the blog BUT I am mortified that I actually have to have my picture taken in it...

You deserve the award!!!

I am very surprised that you did not win because I am certain you were the cutest dog there. But maybe the scariest dog won. I have a special outfit for Halloween. But I am worried that it will not fit because I have not even tried it on yet!

Poppy,
I love your superdog cape. Will you wear that for Howloween? Last year I was forced into a chicken costume and I hated it!! I have no idea what G-Mom will stick me in this year. I'll be surprised.

Hi Poppy! Your pouch is nice, what kind is it? Dobby could use one of those.
It's great that you got to have so much fun, even though you didn't win- you sure looked cute!

What dog alive could have POSSIBLY been cuter than you?!?! The contest was RIGGED!!! And I am outraged on your behalf. Humph.

Thank dog my girl doesn't have a lot of extra money right now... otherwise I'm sure I'd be parading around in some humiliating costume.
