Oh No!

Do you remember my cousin Jasper? He had a Bad Adventure last year. Yesterday Jasper got some very bad news from the vet. He has an aggressive type of lymphoma. The vet said that if they do chemo, he will be very sick and feel bad, but he will have a small chance of living for another year. If they don't do chemo, he will only live a few more months, but they can make him feel more comfortable. His parents haven't decided what to do yet.

Does anyone have experience with lymphoma? Jasper and his family need some advice.

This is a picture of Jasper in happier times with his favorite radish. He likes to play with it like a ball.

Bye for now,
Poppy

Oh, you should really read the blog of Storm, the Furry Fighter. She had lymphoma and lived much longer than was expected. Her blog was very inspiring and we followed her journey as she fought against this cruel disease. Her brother, Castle, has his own blog now, so you could also contact him!

Daisy is right, there is helpful information on Storms's blog. It would be worth a visit.

Thank you so much for welcoming me. I am happy in my new home.

I wish I had some advice for Jasper, but I don't. I'm sorry to hear that your cousin is sick, Poppy.

thank you for stopping by my sister Storm's blog...i am very sorry to hear of your friend's illness :(

firstly, most cats get through chemo just fine, Storm breezed through it, the only side effect was slight nauseau on her strong chemo week which was about every 6th week - and her whiskers dropped out (she looked like a kitten again).

if you had met Storm in the flesh you would never had known she was being treated with chemo...please let your friends know this! Admittedly some cats do not get along with chemo and it can make them feel sick and weak - but the vast majority do. the only way to find out is to try it...there is hope! there are some links on my sister's blog to Feline Lymphoma Caregivers site - and if your friends want to contact my Meowmie for advice please tell them to feel free via my blog.

take care xxx

Sounds like Castle was the most qualified to give advice for Jasper. We'll say paws and hope for the best. Please tell Jasper we're thinking about him.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about Jasper. Our kitty has a knot on her neck that she will have removed Monday.
