Thanksgiving Movie Monday

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I did because Daddy made so much food! And when he cooks, there are always droppings! 'Tis the season to eat droppings, fa la la la la, la la la la! Isn't there a song about that?

The worst part about Thanksgiving was that Mommy and Daddy blocked me out of the kitchen! How rude! They were afraid they would drop something hot (like a tofurkey) or sharp (like a knife) on me, or that I would jump into the oven. How silly! So they made me sit in the living room and watch. It was torture!

But my patience was rewarded later because somebody dropped a chunk of dry bread for the stuffing and I captured it! I ran with it to the carpet and devoured it. Croutons rock! Here is a movie of me eating it:

Mommy thinks it's really funny that it took me an entire minute to eat it. She says that most dogs would have eaten it in one bite. What can I say? I'm dainty!

Bye for now,
Poppy the Little Blonde Chihiahua

Some of us doggies like to savor our treats, right, Poppy?

The Girl is always worried that I'm going to burn myself on the open oven door. Does she think I can't feel how hot it is? Silly Girlie.

Brown dog kisses,
Dannan

Poppy,

Tofurkey huh? How was that? Was it shaped like a turkey. Do you cook the stuffing in the tofurkey or in a separate dish? Sounds interesting. We had actual turkey at my dawg house and I got lots of droppings and they were GOOD!

Poppy, you do realize that you are small enough to walk through the "barrier", right? But at least you stayed safe during the dangerous meal preparation and you got some yummies for your patience.

I on the other hand, was under-foot and in the way in the kitchen the whole time dinner was being prepared :-)

luv

You are dainty and you also know how to enjoy the food and make it last ~~~ just one little bite a time, huh, Poppy?! My Thanksgiving was fun with lots of family visiting but very little food dropping on the floor.

Poppy,
what's a tofurkey? Is it a turkey's cousin? Did you get a taste?

We are never allowed in the kitchen so we feel your pain. However, that stool gate would never keep us out!

You and Lilly eat a lot alike. You like to take your time and savor every bite!

Hi Poppy!
I'm Tibby, I saw you on DWB and wanted to say hello! Looks like you had a good Thanksgiving - even though your people locked you out of the kitchen!
