Lunch Time!

My recovery is going really well. The problem is that I feel so good that I want to get up and run around! That would be very bad for my back though. I have three more weeks of crate rest to go. :(

This picture was taken six days after my surgery. Look at me standing up!
Later that same day Mommy and Daddy decided to take me out for lunch to Chipotle. I love this place because they always feed me beans if I ask nicely! I sat in my carrier during lunch so I wouldn't wiggle around too much and fall off the chair. It was pretty comfy!

And if you want to be really impressed, check out this video of my first post-surgery walk six days after surgery:

I can actually walk without my sling, but I'm not supposed to. Sometimes I walk around the living room just a little bit. But really I want to run and play!!! Being relaxed is soooo hard!

Bye for now!

Oh Poppy, you are doing so well! I am very proud of you.

My Mommie and Daddie love to eat at Chipotle's too. They have gigantical burritos!

Hi Poppy,

It is great to see you up and moving around so well! You be a good girl now and do as the doctor says. We don't want you to hurt yourself.

We went to Chipotle this weekend too! It was our first time. Mom shared her chicken tacos with us.

Do we live in some kind of parallel universe? You resemble my Spineless Bionic Hip pup Sam (except you are much smaller and less hair) and you have a human woman that lives in sleepy pants with a messed up left foot.

Poppy! So very happy that you are getting better each day! Please be careful though and rest even though it is boring we want you to heal and have no more surgeries.

So REST, REST, REST, then rest some more!

Hi Poppy
You look great. Very brave to just walk right over that giant black snake! Maybe they should take you to Chipotle every day. Did the vet recommend tacos or burritos?

Oh Poppy, we know so well what it is like, to be feeling much better, but the humans make you stay in bed. It is for the best, but soooooo hard to do.

Maybe if they put on movies and made lots of popcorn for you, time would go faster

Poppy, you are a very brave girl for enduring all this! I hope you are doing much better now. Being "relaxed" for weeks on end is NO fun, I agree.

Love,
Jemma
