Yesterday I Did Something SuperFun

Not to repeat myself or anything, but yesterday I did something Super Fun! I went strollering at the mall! To help me stay happy and alert while I'm recovering from my surgery, Mommy and Daddy bought me this Chariot:

They call it a "stroller," but I think it's really a chariot. We went out to this really dog-friendly mall yesterday to do some post-Christmas exchanging, and I got to come in my new chariot! I got to go into all the stores, including, but not limited to, the underwear store and the kitchen store. I felt so cool. I accidentally peed while we were in the kitchen store, but I was sitting on a bunch of pee pads, so it was okay.

Since I had so much fun yesterday, I got to go out again this evening for a chariot ride through the neighborhood. It is nice to be out again. I hope someday that I can walk all by myself again. I start physical therapy in a couple of weeks after I get my staples out.

Recovery Update:
Today I wagged my tail! Mommy and Daddy went out to lunch and left me home for two hours by myself. When they got home they picked me up and I kissed their faces and WAGGED MY TAIL for the first time since my injury!!! Mommy's Mood-o-Meter: HOPEFULLY OPTIMISTIC

Bye for now,
Poppy the LBC

Pee Ess: My new year's resolution is to start labeling my posts. And also to walk again.

My mom wanted to get my chi sister Lillie one of those, but decided against it cause all Lil does in public is growl at people!

Poppy, I have a stroller too and I went for my walkie on my stroller when my back was injured too.Yes! its very important to be kept happy. it can help to speed up the recovery.

I am glad to hear that you can now begin to wag your tail. I am confident that you will gain control over your hind legs like I did. Have you got a life jacket for your hydrotherapy? I bet you will look cute in 1 but please take things slowly.

Luv,
Snowball

OH DEAR POPPY! I am so sorry I haven't read your blog in many days because my Mommy has been sick too and I been busy helping her out. But now I am reading your blog and seeing that you are so sick and was in the hospital and everything! That makes me so sad to see you hurting like that! I really do like your stroller and I think I would like one just like you. It looks like fun!
I was wondering if you would let me have your address because me and my Mommy want to send you a get well soon thingy? If you don't want to give me your address that's okay...I will understand. But if you do, please email me at dobby@myhoneyandme.com.
I miss you and I am glad to see you are recovering well from your owies. Take care and I promise I'll keep checking back on your more often.

From kathleen we've been gone and missed everything, WOW! My former dog Boo had the same surgery, she had a ruptured disc, the doc said it was the biggest one he'd ever seen. Boo did great after the surgery and I know Poppy will too. Prayers for Poppy and her back surgery.
