Beachy Weekend Pictures

Hi Everybuddy!

Here are some more pictures of our cozy beach weekend getaway:

Our room at the inn had a fireplace!  It was very warm, but I was a little bit afraid of all the popping noises it kept making.  We do not have one at home, so I am not used to it.

The inn has a restaurant where dogs can EAT INSIDE with their PEOPLES!!!  It is seriously so cool!  It is the only place in the whole country (we think) where you can do this.  Technically it's because the tables are in the "lobby," but whatever; if there's food and waiters, it's a restaurant!

We went to a couple of different beaches on Saturday.  This one was very pretty, but kind of windy.  I guess that's what we get for going to the beach in November!  We had a yummy picnic lunch, although I was not allowed to eat the hummus.

These people were confused.  They thought the sign said "BEARS OKAY ON LEASH."  Ha!  It may not look like it from this picture, but this was one of the biggest dogs I have ever seen!!!

Uh Oh...Dog Shaming

Hi Everybuddy!

I went to visit my friend Maggie at her house yesterday and I was a tiny bit bad.  My Mommy made this "dog-shaming" sign for me. Don't worry; I'm not really in trouble. It's all in good fun!

My ROAD TRIP!!!

Hi Furiends!

Last week I went on a big road trip with my parents.  We went all the way down to Beverly Hills and then all the way up to Lake Tahoe.  It was a long drive, but we had fun and saw lots of pretty stuff.  I'm pretty good at sleeping in the car anyway, so I didn't mind that much.

While we were in LA, we got to go out to dinner at a famous hot dog restaurant called Pinks.  They have veggie dogs, so my parents were happy.  And I was too, because I got to taste some of their hot dogs!!!

After dinner we walked across the street to check out a place called the "Zoom Room," which we thought might be a doggy daycare.  It turns out it's a doggy party venue and they had just finished a party and they had extra party favor bags and they gave me one because I'm so cuuuuuuute!!!!!!!  Here's what was in my bag:

While Daddy was in his class all day (that's why we were there), Mommy and I hung out in our room and on our balcony.  I caught some southern California rays and they were sooooo warm and sunshiny!

The next day while we were driving around, we saw this funny sign about STDs.  I don't know what STDs are...maybe Soooper Terrific Doggies???  Yes, I think so.

After Beverly Hills, we drove all the way up to Lake Tahoe.  We saw lots of pretty stuff on the way, but mostly I slept.  So here's a picture of me and Mommy once we got to the campground in Lake Tahoe.  It was pretty cold and windy there in the evenings--very different from Beverly Hills!

I think I would like to go back down south, please.  It was super fun!!!

Beach Day!!! (and Pawlympics Excitement)

Hello Furiends!

I had a very nice beach day with my friend Maggie that I want to tell you about.  We met for lunch at this place that has a very nice outdoor seating area for doggies and their peoples.  There were lots of other dogs there sitting on the ground.  Um, yes, on the ground.  What is up with that?  Maggie and I do not sit on the ground.  We sit on laps!

We both got to share a little bit of the lunches our parents were having.  I liked the artichoke hearts; Maggie wasn't so sure.  I also had some beans, of course.

After lunch, we went to the beeeeeach!!!  We got to run run run in the sand with our Daddies!

Somehow I got my nose all covered in sand.  Oops!  It's okay.  Mommy cleaned it off for me.

Oh, wait.  I think I know how I got sand all over my nose.  It was from all my frisbee chasing!  Look at me goooooo!!!

On a related note, I have decided to pawticipate in the Blogville Olympics 2012!  Any dog or cat can participate.  If you want to participate, you should hurry because you have to send in your picture soon.

I have decided that I will pawticipate in two events.  I'm going to do the Frisbee/Discus (hosted by Pip) and Roaching and Rolling (hosted by Ruby and Penny).

I will use the pictures from my beach day for the frisbee event, and the pictures from when I rolled in something delicious for the roaching/rolling event.  I am excited to see everyone's pictures once the events start.  Hooray for the Pawlympics!!!

A Garden Morning

Hello Everybuddy,

I had a super fun time in my garden yesterday morning.  I found where the greenbeans were hiding!

I decided to pick a few beans for a little snack.

Mommy thought I had had enough, but I pretended not to hear her. Who, me?!

In the Big City

Hi Furiends,

As promised, I will now tell you all about my adventure in the Big City.  It was not a very big adventure, but it was still fun because I got to go to a place I had never been before.  Mommy and Daddy took me out to lunch at a restaurant in San Francisco where they have outside tables for people with doggies.  I was not allowed to walk very much on the sidewalk because it was busy and dirty and Mommy was afraid I would get stepped on or step in something yucky.  There were lots of dogs walking by, and they got to walk on the ground, but I guess they are city dogs, and I am not.  Besides, it is much nicer to be carried and sit on someone's lap than it is to walk all the way down there on the ground!

Lunch was delicious!  I got to have some beans from Daddy's plate and some carrots from Mommy's salad!

We ate lunch with some of Mommy and Daddy's friends who I had never met before.  They said I was soooooo cute!  One of them was overcome with an urge to hold me.  Hmmm...I am sometimes nervous about being held by strangers.  But I agreed, because I could see that she was very excited about it, and I only grrred at her once!

While we were there, I learned how to pee and poop like a city dog.  I peed in the tiny square of dirt that a tree was planted in on the sidewalk, and I pooped right in the middle of the sidewalk in front of a man pushing a baby stroller.  Oopsie!  Mommy said sorry, and he just laughed and said, it's okay.  I am sorry that we do not have pictures of this.

After lunch, we were supposed to go to the park, but we ran out of time, so that adventure will have to wait for another day.
